Southgate's SAKitToMe Back to School Promo

EnviroTrend is always looking for new ways to our message of saying ‘no’ to plastic and ‘yes’ to reusable alternatives. With the arrival of the new SAKitToMe Kids range, Janina & Celina decided to kick start the year with a ‘Back to School’ promo for local shopping centre, Southgate.

Shoppers of Southgate Shopping Centre were given a FREE Kids SAKitToMe bag with every purchase over $60 from participating Southgate shops. The promotion ran for seven days and they were giving away over 200 bags each day.

Liz Rossiter, the Marketing Manager of Southgate said the Kids SAKitToMe bags were the perfect choice for a ‘Back to School’ gift with purchase promotion.

“The customers at our shopping centre saw real value in the bags and were delighted to be given something so practical and useful that was also colourful and fun,” Liz said.

“We had many shoppers returning day after day to collect all four designs, a true sign that the bags were a big hit,” she said.

We thought you might like to know who's behind EnviroTrend so you can get to know us a little better. For this post it's husband and wife team, Gareth and Chin Chee, our Malaysian Distributor's turn.

Q1. How are you selling the bags?

The bags are currently available at five retail outlet/kiosks. They are all located in major shopping malls and popular shopping areas in Klang Valley.

Q2. What has been the customer feedback?

Our customers say the bags are very practical and they especially like the pouch on the SAKitToMe bags. They also buy bags for gifts.

Q3. What are your plans for this year?

We plan to expand to Northern Malaysia (Penang) and Singapore where there is a lot of awareness in using green reusable bags. We will take part in promotions and gift show/road shows to promote awareness of the brand and product.
